Training Rules & Behavior Policy (Children & Teens)

1. Introduction:

This Training Rules & Behavior Policy defines the standards of conduct expected from children and teenage participants during group training sessions at Volleyball Empire Academy.

The purpose of this policy is to create a focused, respectful, and safe training environment that supports learning, development, and enjoyment of volleyball.

This policy applies equally to all participants in children and teenage group sessions.

2. Expected Behavior:

Participants are expected to demonstrate the following behavior during training sessions:

Attention to the Coach:

When the coach is speaking or explaining drills:

  • all participants must remain silent;

  • balls must be on the floor;

  • no bouncing, throwing, kicking, clapping, or talking is allowed.

Only the coach speaks during explanations.

Active Participation:

Participants are expected to:

  • follow instructions;

  • make a genuine effort in all drills;

  • remain engaged throughout the session.

Questions may be asked after explanations, without interrupting.

Respect for Others:

Participants must treat teammates and coaches with respect, avoid distractions, and contribute to a positive training atmosphere.

Readiness to Return After a Pause:

After a pause, a participant may return to the court only after the minimum pause time has passed and only when readiness to work is demonstrated through calm behavior, attention, and focus.

3. Unacceptable Behavior:

The following behaviors are not permitted during training sessions:

  • talking while the coach is speaking or explaining drills;

  • uncontrolled or unsafe use of the ball outside of the coach’s instructions;

  • lying on the floor or disengaging while the group is working;

  • distracting, disturbing, or disrupting other participants;

  • teasing, name-calling, mocking, or humiliating others;

  • deliberately refusing to participate or make an effort;

  • unsafe behavior or misuse of equipment.

4. Consequences for Rule Violations:

Violations of this policy will result in the following consequences:

First violation (same session):

Verbal reminder and a 3-minute pause off the court.

Second violation (same session):

A 7-minute pause off the court and parent notification after the session.

Third violation (same session):

Removal from activity until the end of the session and a mandatory conversation with parents.

Repeated behavioral issues within the same semester:

  • First conversation with parents: formal warning.

  • Second conversation: one-week suspension.

  • Third conversation: termination of participation in the program, with any unused sessions handled according to the academy’s payment policy.

Patterns of behavior from previous semesters may be taken into account when determining group placement or continuation.

5. Emotional Responses:

Emotional reactions such as frustration, disappointment, or tears are not considered disciplinary violations.

The coach supports the participant in regaining a working mindset and returning to training.

6. Safety:

Any behavior that puts the participant or others at risk may result in immediate removal from the activity, regardless of the stage of the disciplinary process.

7. Final Statement:

This policy exists to support discipline, learning, and long-term development.

Consistency and cooperation between participants, parents, and coaches are essential.

Participation in training sessions implies acknowledgment and acceptance of this Training Rules & Behavior Policy, Volleyball Empire Academy’s Terms & Conditions, and Attendance & Training Organization Policy.
